This week’s edition of WWE SmackDown Live was the final episode of the show on the USA Network, and some fans noticed a serious change in how the show looked.

During SmackDown, action was noticeably more cinematic, presented at a significantly lower framerate than the 60 FPS usually employed for live sports.

Though some speculated that this was due to new cameras ahead of the blue brand’s move to FOX next week, experts at attributed the change to the way the live feed was encoded.

Next week, SmackDown will move to Friday nights and air on FS1, and it’s unlikely that this different presentation style will remain.

The October 4, edition of the blue brand will also be the 20th anniversary of the show, and will feature several legends, including Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Sting and Kurt Angle.
